I really enjoyed the Bath, Stonehenge and Windsor Castle Tour. Our guide Julie was very knowledgeable and told us many stories about each of the World Heritage Sites we visited. I was delighted to have a chance to visit Windsor Castle and Stonehenge, but Bath was the highlight of the entire tour. We went all around this fantastic city that looked almost unreal. I was especially intrigued by Bath Abbey. Gothic architecture has always seemed grim and dark to me, but Bath Abbey was surprisingly bright inside. We saw the famous Pulteney Bridge, and later I had a chance to explore it on foot. There is a walking path by the Avon River, and that’s one of the best ways to go sightseeing in Bath.
On this day tour we saw three amazing sites, which is great! My husband and I loved it so much that we intend to visit Bath again. I had seen pictures on the Internet, but they didn’t prepare me for the real thing. We felt like we were on a movie set or had traveled back in time. Those elegant Georgian houses look like giant dollhouses! Maybe I got that impression because we visited Queen Mary’s dollhouse at Windsor Castle earlier that day. I definitely recommend booking this tour! Especially if you’re two old-time Yankees like my husband and me.

TOUR OF THE CITY OF BATH
Tour the streets of this iconic English city from the comfort of the bus. Although its history spans more than two millennia, the majority of its buildings and landmarks were constructed in the 18th century. As your guide will explain, this period is called the Georgian era, and Bath is often referred to as the Georgian city. You will pass by elegant houses and palaces, such as the Royal Crescent, Pulteney Bridge, and Royal Victoria Park. One of the highlights is the iconic Bath Abbey, completed in the early 16th century. Known as the last great medieval church, it boasts stunning Gothic-style architecture.
OPTION TO VISIT THE FAMOUS ROMAN BATHS
During your stay in the city of Bath, you will have the option to visit the famous Roman Baths. As the name suggests, the entire city owes its name to this spa complex, originally built in the 1st century AD. It is a testament to the ancient past and one of the World Heritage Sites you'll explore on this tour.
ARISTOCRATIC SPLENDOR OF BATH
Since the time of ancient Rome, this city has been a meeting place for the aristocracy. Roman officials and governors eagerly sought any opportunity to visit the only natural hot springs in the province of Britannia. Throughout its long history, Bath has reinvented itself numerous times. It has been a religious center, the site of royal coronations, a major hub for the wool industry, and, finally, a destination famed for healing illnesses. The aristocracy was quick to purchase property here after Queen Anne reportedly cured her gout in Bath.
THE MYSTERIES OF STONEHENGE
On the final leg of the Bath, Stonehenge and Windsor Castle Tour, you will visit the mysterious Stonehenge. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is the most famous British Neolithic landmark. Follow your guide on a walking tour around the massive stones and learn about prehistoric peoples and their beliefs. Discover its possible purposes and advanced techniques used to construct this awe-inspiring monument.

What was the Roman name of the city of Bath?
During the Bath, Stonehenge and Windsor Castle Tour, you will have a chance to see the famous Roman Baths. As this site was the only natural hot spring in the province of Britannia, the Romans quickly established a city nearby. They called it Aquae Sulis, which translates to "Waters of Sulis". Sulis was the name of a local Celtic deity, whom the Romans identified with their own goddess Minerva.
